  • ON THE DAY
    • Skin Cancer Tasmania is excited to be hosting the inaugural Melanoma March in Hobart on March 20 at Bellerive Beach Park.

This 4km walk will see participants start in the picturesque park and walk along the pathway adjacent to Alexandra Esplanade then head right to join the Clarence Foreshore Trail and return back along the beach to finish at the park.

Dogs are welcome but the park area itself and the beach are prohibited areas for dogs so would need to join the walk at the end of the park section and return via the same path as opposed to the beach (same as accessible route). They must be on leads the entire time.

The walk is suitable for everyone – those with accessible needs have the option of returning via the same route as the outgoing walk.

To minimise COVID impacts, everyone will need to register online PRIOR to the walk and print out their bibs.

  • WALKING MAP
  • PARKING
    • There is a car park at Bellerive Beach Park accessed via Derwent St. Parking is also available in the streets surrounding Bellerive Oval.

  • COVID SAFE
    • Melanoma March Hobart will be in line with current COVID restrictions. This continues to be a highly dynamic situation and we will continue to adapt and adjust as appropriate. Further details about what to expect and measures that will be in place will be added here closer to the event.

Even though there may be some slight changes, Melanoma March Hobart is still the same important cause and a chance for us to come together safely.

  • SKIN CANCER TASMANIA
    • Skin Cancer Tasmania is excited to be hosting Hobart’s first ever Melanoma March.

Tasmania has hosted events previously in Devonport and Launceston and we are looking forward to hosting the event in the south of the state.

Skin Cancer Tasmania is committed to minimising the incidence and impact of melanoma in Tasmania, ensuring our local community can access awareness sessions around the dangers of UV and skin cancer, and advocating for better access to treatments locally, including accessible and affordable skin checks.
